Petros, leader of the “Royal Family” of Mykonos. Years ago an injured pelican was rescued by fishermen and norished back to health. The bird never left so was nicknamed “Petros” and wandered around town as he wished as the revered symbol of Mykonos. Now, several generations later, Petros IV or is it Petros V, and his royal family of hangers on wander freely and live on restaurant handouts.
