“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
Africa is the world’s second-largest and second-most-populous continent. At about 30.2 million square kilometers or 11.7 million square miles including adjacent islands, it covers six percent of the Earth’s total surface area and over 20 percent of the total land area, and accounts for about 15% of the world’s population. It is a continent so big, so beautiful, so diverse and so tumultuous that it defies imagination.
I’ve only barely scratched the surface of this amazing continent.
