The Land of Rainbows & Eternal Spring

Welcome to Boquete!  I took this picture of one of the many rainbows we enjoy . . . this one right over our house in Palmira.

Perhaps because all of those Biblical stories about God sending the rainbow as a promise . . . or Disney movies . . . or gay Pride . . . or whatever, for most Gringos a rainbow is a very promising sign.  Interestingly not so for the local Ngobe Bugle Indigenous folks, our neighbors, who see a rainbow as an ominous sign.
