What if you can’t have everything?

When we were looking for a place to retire, we first figured out what we wanted.

15-things-we-wanted

OK, we had the 15 things we wanted, but knowing that sometimes in life you can’t have everything that you want, and obviously some of these things are more important than others, our  next step was to say, “If we had 100 points to ‘spend’, how would we allocate the 100 points?”

So this is what we came up with . . .

100-points

We were living in Ventura, California, and if we were ever going to be able to retire, let alone retire early, we needed to drastically lower our cost of living.  And, getting older, of course health care was important.
